One of our clients is looking for a CNC Operator in Markham, ON region.
Shift - Night
Key Responsibilities:
Set up CNC machines according to specifications provided for each production run. This includes loading materials, installing cutting tools, and configuring machine settings.
Input program codes into CNC machines, or ensure that pre-existing programs are correctly loaded. This involves interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM designs to determine machining operations.
Monitor the operation of CNC machines during production runs, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
Perform regular quality checks on produced parts using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Identify any defects or deviations from specifications and take corrective actions to resolve issues.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating CNC machines and working in the manufacturing environment.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production volumes, and quality inspection results.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
Vocational training or certification in CNC machining or related field is advantageous.
Previous experience as a CNC operator in the automotive industry or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
