Under the administrative direction of the Deputy Director, Information Technology Branch (ITB), the Chief over EDDNext is responsible for planning, directing, overseeing, and providing direction to the technical delivery office and project controller’s office in support of the EDDNext modernization efforts impacting the Employment Development Department (EDD). This includes but is not limited to the Integrated Claims Management System (ICMS) project, which includes implementation of a new claims benefit system for the Unemployment Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Paid Family Leave programs. The EDDNext Division Chief is also responsible for the overall project management and coordination of resources and workload throughout the project lifecycle. Directs and participates in the formulation of policies for the delivery of EDDNext services statewide.

As a member of EDD’s Executive Staff and the ITB Executive Team, the incumbent participates in executive-level policy and decision-making regarding the direction and effective application of IT to meet EDD’s business goals and objectives.

Statement of Qualifications

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as the examination for the CEA position.

2. 3. Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change. In your response, include a specific example of an organizational change that you led including change management strategies that you used to implement the change. 4. Demonstrated experience providing information technology contract management, authorizing information technology procurement and contracts. You must state how many years of experience you possess in this area, the employer from which you received this experience, and the contact information for a professional reference that can verify your experience.
