LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

ATLANTA, GA

Established in 2013, The Abram Group is Atlanta's premier and fastest-growing recruiting firm servicing the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry nationwide. The Abram Group is currently in search of a Landscape Architect to join their top tier Landscape Architecture Design client at their office in Atlanta, GA.

CLIENT BACKGROUND

Our client is an award-winning Planning & Landscape Architecture firm, with over 30 years in business performing top-tier Landscape and Urban planning projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast. They specialize in a multitude of project-types including Healthcare, Education, Community Planning, Parks, Recreation, Urban and much more.

POSITION

Our client is a firm focused on planning and designing great places for people, places which support clear returns on investment and provide a stewardship ethic for future generations.

Due to business growth, our client seeks a smart, talented, self-motivated, accredited degreed landscape architect with 0-4 years of experience and is proficient with design and graphics software listed below. The successful candidate will be able to: utilize the software mentioned to produce sketches, drawings, and renderings based on team ideas; participate in generating design ideas; generate CD package documentation, including layout, grading and drainage, detailing and product specifications; become an integral part of the team with the collective goal of producing designs and documents that exceed the goals set by our clients.

Our client seeks capabilities beyond computer and design skills. The firm’s team members show initiative, judgment and deductive reasoning, as well as, strong presentation, listening and communication skills. We also expect determination, persistence and the ability to work as part of a team. Candidates must be able to offer examples that demonstrate not only their skills and attributes but also their commitment to learning more.

Requirements

· Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.

Basic Technical Skills Required

· Microsoft Office, AutoCAD 2018, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch-up, Advanced photorealistic rendering software such as Lumion and Rhino 3D

Advanced Technical Skills Desired

· Civil 3D, Revit, Infraworks, 3Ds Max, LandFX

· Design / Graphics Skills

· Candidate shall demonstrate through portfolio proficiencies

· Renderings by hand

· Design innovation

· Computer applications

· Detailing and understanding of construction materials

· Speaks specifically about wanting to learn more about applying theory learned in school

· Appreciates the built environment rather than focusing, for example, on open space preservation, environmental causes, or research
