Risk & Compliance Officer | Compliance | Chicago | Hybrid

We’re searching for a Chicago based Risk & Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team, so that we can strengthen and evolve our global compliance program. The Risk & Compliance Office with collaborate across teams to ensure consistency, uphold best practices, and drive compliance efforts that align with industry standards and regulatory expectations. 

 

How You’ll Spend Your Time 

  • Assisting with the compliance program and integrated quality/information security management system to maintain alignment with industry standards 

  • Facilitating and conducting risk assessments in order to ensure risks are effectively identified and managed according to the company framework 

  • Interpreting regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, SOC, CMS, HIPAA) to ensure organizational compliance 

  • Drafting and revising company policies, procedures, and training materials in order to promote awareness and adherence 

  • Planning and executing internal audits to identify non-compliance, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement 

  • Assess and audit vendors and according to the vendor management program to verify compliance with contractual, privacy and security requirements. 

 

 

 

What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having 

  • Previous experience managing a compliance program (ex: SOC2, HIPAA, CCPA, ISO) 

  • Proven success in completing risk and privacy assessments as well as internal audits 

  • In-depth knowledge of US and Canada privacy legislation and regulatory environment 

  • Ability to commute to Chicago 50% of the month 

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally occasionally 

  • A resourceful, flexible mindset with a knack for working collaboratively within a small team
