We are currently looking for an experienced Security Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities

Assist in all hotel security and safety-related programs. Perform protective, preventative, safety, and security-related enforcement functions touring hotel complex to ensure the safety and well-being of all hotel guests, associates, and vendors.

ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of safety and security equipment, utensils and procedures
  • Knowledge and skill in how to diffuse potentially difficult situations.
  • Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Advance skill using computer, surveillance and communication systems.
  • Excellent guest and employee relations skills.
  • Reputation for handling situations and confidential information discretely, projecting a positive, professional and supportive outward image and exercising good judgment for the position.
  • Strong familiarity with how to effectively deal with situations involving the use of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and weapons.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Compliance with uniform, appearance and attendance guidelines as outlined in The Setai Employee Handbook
  • Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Florida Security license.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma required AND three (3) years' experience as a Security Officer in a multi-unit luxury property, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with high profile and high net worth individuals is a plus.
